	Hosts Qatar got off to a perfect start in the handball competition with a crushing 48-19 victory over India in group A. Qatar led 19-9 at half time and then went on a scoring spree after the interval with Ahmed Saad Al Saad scoring 12 goals.

	Olympic champion Chen Yanqing broke three world records in the women's 58kg class weightlifting on day 2 of the Asian Games on Sunday on a day when China won 13 gold medals out of the 29 on offer.

	Four Chinese girls, Zhao Jing, Luo Nan, Zhou Yafei and Pang Jiaying, two of them newly crowned, rallied to win the 4x100m medley relay on Saturday at the Asian Games.
