On Monday the world's highest railway, running between Qinghai and Tibet, has operated smoothly for 100 days with nearly 300,000 passengers and 300,000 tons of cargo transported into and out of Tibet.
Constructors receive moon cakes from governmental staff members at a building site in Jiyuan, central China's Henan Province, Oct. 5, 2006. Governmental staff members delivered moon cakes to constructors at many building sites in Jiyuan and brought them greetings for the forthcoming Mid-autumn Festival which falls on Oct. 6.
Henan is expecting a grain harvest of 50.15 billion kilograms this year, an annual rise of 9.5 percent year on year, according to a forecast from the provincial agriculture department.
